And now a new segment on this blog, in which I make you guys decide which thing (of two or three things) is better. That's probably unclear. OK, think "would you rather" but even more abstract. You know what? Let's just get into it.
Something has been at the back of my mind for a few weeks now: Which symbol is cooler, the Tri-Force or the Deathly Hallows? (Yes, this is the kind of thing I think about a lot.)
There are a lot of similarities. Both are triangles with a kind of pleasing aesthetic simplicity. Both have rich, symbolic backstories (The Deathly Hallows represent, among other things, the folly of man's desire, and the corruption and evil that comes with great power; the Tri-Force represents, I think, Zelda's vagina? I forget actually). Both are technically three independent parts that can be united,* which for whatever reason is a big thing in the Western Hemisphere (think The Father The Son and The Holy Ghost, think tri-cornered hats, think threesomes).
(*Zelda's boobs and butt make up the other segments, right? I haven't played Ocarina Of Time in like ten years.)
And then there are the differences. The Deathly Hallows have a circle, the Tri-Force doesn't. Okay, so that's basically the biggest difference. But that's a huge difference!
And we've already covered the pros, but what of the cons? The Tri-Force is much nerdier, and its cultural zenith was 20 years ago (but if there's ever a Zelda movie, it could come back in a big way). The Deathly Hallows are so much hotter right now, but they also sort of look like a penis with one huge ball, or like a diagram of a breech baby that also has a giant head (turn the triangle upside down).
But anyway, I'm not going to decide on this. YOU ARE. Make your case in the comments (your case can be as simple as "x is cooler.") and we shall reach a verdict AS A COMMUNITY.

Tri-force. No question.
Deathly Hallows, if only because it incorporates more shapes in a nice way. More bang for your buck, if you will.
Also, newfags can't tri-force.
Tri-force for sure.
This is actually really difficult. But I have to say Deathly Hallows. Hank Green didn't write a song about the Tri-force
Deathly Hallows.
Tri-Force. It's been in every single Zelda game and wasn't randomly brought upon far too late into the series, like the Deathly Hallows. (Unless I'm wrong, I've only seen the movies... What's a book?)
Deathly Hallows. I haven't played Zelda in so long I don't even know that the Tri-Force is.
Well! Split vote so far! I didn't realize we were such a divided community! And mook, isn't that Hank Green thing a point against it? (OOOOOOH NERDFIGHTER BURNNNN) JKJKJK
Definitely the tri-force. I spent weeks thinking the Deathly Hallows was some woods somewhere, or something...it was a confusing time.
I am not nerdy enough for this. No, that's not condemnation. It's jealousy.
The one with the circle is more geometrically pleasing to me. I'm not taking into account any of the meaning or symbolism, just design.
I gotta give it up for the Tri-force.
Gonna give squatters rights to the triforce here.
Triforce without a doubt. Much bigger fan of the Legend of Zelda series, the Triforce plays a much more important role in the series than the Deathly Hallows. It's almost like J.K. Rowling had to throw in something to make the story a little more of substance.
But anywho, the Triforce.
tri all the way.
Deathly Hallows! It's just more aesthetically pleasing in my mind, and has more meaning than the triforce. I mean, Tale of Three Brothers?! Come ON.
Deathly Hallows!
I say Tri-force, mostly because I played the Ocarina of Time for a good portion of my childhood and continue to play it now, while the Deathly Hallows only shows up in one book of the Harry Potter series.
I say Deathly Hallows, because it's power that anyone can hold, and if I remember correctly the Triforce can only be used by the reincarnations of the same three people.
As a Harry Potter fan who's never played Zelda, I must say the Tri-force looks much cooler.
Bikini Girls. obviously.
