I'm beginning to worry about the impact of this year's movie schedule on my income. I'm resigned to seeing The Hunger Games (anybody going this week?). Prometheus looks gnarly as fuck. The Dark Knight Rises is going to be stellar, obviously. I'll see The Avengers and Spider-Man whether they're good or not.* And K. Stew has me booked for THREE fucking movies this year (On The Road, Snow White, and Breaking Dawn Dos). I am in, girl. I am in. Plus my local arthouse theater does a summer-long festival of last year's arty flicks, and I'll have to see a few of those to feel like I am really doing right by this city, you know? I should get a second job again. On the bright side, at least any lingering allegiance to Ashley Greene won't cost me much this year. Unless that thing about the gender-swapped Oliver Twist is still going to happen.
(*Last year film critics complained about a backloaded 2011--every Oscar candidate came out in like, the last week of December, which killed Dragon Tattoo and a few others. Is this the back end of that scheduling? The over-blockbustered Summer of 2012?)
What about y'all? Any super-anticipated movies? Not that I want to be on the hook for more. I mean, I DO, but not really.

I'm really looking forward to Spider-Man and Dark Knight Rises. I've always been a Spidey fan and have to see it regardless of its goodness.
I would go to see Hunger Games opening night but my friends have to work the next day and I refuse to see a movie by myself.
I'm going to go see The Hunger Games at the midnight premiere. I'll post about it when get back.
I'm a little skeptical about The Dark Knight Rises, but I'm excited to see John Dies at the End. I just started reading it and it seems that from just viewing the trailer, the movie will stay pretty consistent to the book.
You missed The Hobbit!!!!!!!
Other than that, I'm waiting for Dark Knight Rises and Avengers. Prometheus looks too typical and stupid for my tastes sorry :P
Is The Hobbit coming out this year? And Yomin, going to movies alone is cool! Okay, I have done it once, but it was not weird at all.
I'm seeing Hunger Games opening night.
I'm kind of excited about The Cabin in the Woods. I'm digging the fact that Joss Whedon is involved and the trailers make the premise look more interesting than the usual deadly camp-out thing.
I don't have anything against people going to movies alone but I enjoy talking about it afterwards. I can only tweet so much.
That being said I may go see it tonight because I have some job interviews tomorrow and my mom's birthday Saturday.
CABIN IN THE WOODS! Shit that is another! Is Kyle Chandler in that shit? I feel like I heard he was. I mean, Bradley Whitford and Richard Jenkins are in there, I think, and SIGN ME UP already.
I'm actually a Joss Whedon newbie, I haven't done Buffy or Angel or any of that. YET.
God, I unapologetically love Buffy and Angel. To an extreme, nerdy searching out and reading academic essays over them extent. I would be all about you blogging about that. They are full of both awesome and troubling things that are good for discussion.
